Mehdi Shaaf, M.D.
OphthalmologistDr. Mehdi Shaff is an ophthalmologist with Shaaf Eye center. Dr. Shaff is an expert in treating diseases of the visual pathways, including tear ducts and eyelids, and offers a full range of comprehensive eye care including eye exams, treatment of ocular diseases, as well as eye surgery for common conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and eyelid surgery. Dr. Shaff graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Oklahoma at Edmond. Dr. Shaaf received his “Medical degree with distinction" from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Centers at Oklahoma City, where he went on to complete his internship. In 1995, he began his ophthalmology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science and served as Chief Resident during his final year. As an ophthalmology resident, Dr. Shaaf received the “Raymond and Marry Morris award for outstanding research." He then joined the teaching faculty of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as a professor of ophthalmology where he trained future ophthalmologists as well as practiced clinical comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr. Shaff founded Shaaf Eye Center in 2004 and is accepting new patients.
